SUMMARY:Finding Your Ground Here\, and in Yourself. Releasing the Stress of the Immigration Experience Through Sound Therapy
DESCRIPTION:You have left behind a country\, family\, familiar landmarks\, a professional identity\, or a social network. \nEven when immigration is a hopeful and intentional choice\, the body often carries what words cannot always express: stress\, mental overload\, loneliness\, uncertainty\, emotional fatigue\, and the constant feeling of having to adapt. \nThis sound therapy workshop is an invitation to slow down\, set down what feels heavy\, and create space for what is ready to emerge. \nWhat You’ll Experience \n✨ Understand the impact of the immigration journey on the nervous system \n✨ Become aware of tension stored in the body \n✨ Release stress\, worries\, and held emotions \n✨ Reconnect with your inner resources \n✨ Cultivate a sense of safety\, grounding\, and confidence \n✨ Welcome this new chapter of life with greater ease and clarity \nA Gentle and Accessible Approach \nThrough the vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls\, the gong\, and other therapeutic instruments\, you will be guided through a deeply relaxing experience that supports nervous system restoration and reconnection with yourself. \nNo prior experience is necessary. \nThere is nothing to do. \nNothing to achieve. \nSimply allow yourself to receive. \nWho Is This For? \nThis workshop is designed for newcomers\, refugees\, permanent residents\, international students\, and anyone navigating the challenges of adapting to life in a new country. \nWhat You May Experience After the Session \n🌿 Greater inner calm \n🌿 A lighter\, clearer mind \n🌿 Improved sleep quality \n🌿 A stronger sense of grounding and stability \n🌿 Increased confidence as you move forward with your life project in Canada \nAbout the Facilitator \nHala Ben Hssain is a coach\, hypnotherapist\, and sound therapy practitioner. \nFor several years\, I have supported people through major life transitions. After helping more than 500 newcomers settle in Canada\, I observed a reality that is often overlooked: beyond administrative procedures\, employment\, and housing\, there is also a body carrying the experience of migration. \nThrough sound therapy\, I create spaces where it becomes possible to release\, reconnect with oneself\, and move forward with greater peace and resilience. \nYou do not have to carry the weight of your journey alone. \nGive yourself a moment to breathe\, let go of what no longer serves you\, and make space for the person you are becoming. \nBecause settling in a new country is not only about changing where you live. \nIt is also about learning to feel at home within yourself.
