SUMMARY:Immigrant Resources
DESCRIPTION:The RAFIO team will conduct a zoom workshop or show an informative video on various low-cost resources available to immigrant communities\, such as the following: \n-Shelters\n-Social service centres\n-Ottawa housing\n-Food banks\n-Community centres\n-Community organizations (CESOC\, RAFIO\, CICAN\, CFS\, etc.)\n-Low-cost stores (Value Village\, Dollarama\, etc.)\n-Various grocery stores (COSCO\, MAXI\, Food Basic\, etc.)\n-Sites where volunteer work is available\n-Sites where work is available (Canada Job Bank\, Indeed\, etc.)\n-Commercial companies \nAs RAFIO is an organization with the mandate of ensuring the mental well-being of its members\, we are conscious of the anxiety caused by geographic relocation\, as well as the double-edged cost of a lack of concise\, centralized information to guide and refer newcomers and provide a place of comfort and security. \nThis is a recurring need within the community\, and\, as organizations dedicated to the integration of newcomers\, we have noted a lack of relevant\, centralized information and therefore understand the need to create a visual medium digitizing a significant number of resources.
