Integration in Canada: understanding Canadian institutions\, public services\, healthcare systems\, education and the Canadian job market. \n3. Integration challenges\, particularly for women and single mothers: identification and discussion of the specific obstacles faced by women and single mothers\, such as access to employment\, social support and childcare. \n4. Testimonials of successful integration: sharing the inspiring experiences of newcomers who have overcome the challenges of integration and succeeded in Canada\, thus offering insights and practical advice. \nThis workshop seeks to create an inclusive and collaborative space where participants can exchange ideas\, ask questions and find mutual support in their journey to integrate in Canada.

DESCRIPTION:The Anti-Racism Secretariat has planned a series of information sessions with community partners to engage Ottawa residents on the City’s first Anti-Racism Strategy. The strategy was approved by Council on June 22\, 2022 and was formally launched with a release of the strategy’s public-facing document on May 15\, 2023. \nThe purpose of the information session is to: \n\nRaise awareness on the Anti-Racism Strategy (ARS) and its Phase One priorities.\nInform the community of the work underway to develop the strategic accountability framework for 2023-2025.\nInform the community of plans to establish a community mechanism to continue working on ARS implementation.\nAnswer any questions regarding the ARS and solicit feedback on process of ARS implementation.\nBuild partnerships and collaborations with the community and community organizations for the implementation of the strategy.\n\nLanguage: English
