The event is organized collectively by Point D’accueil Francophone (PAF) and the Newcomer Information Centre of the YMCA Ottawa. The aim of the event is to create a platform for people from different backgrounds to come together\, share their cultural experiences and promote understanding and appreciation for diversity. \nObjectives: \nThe objectives of the Multiculturalism Day event are: \n• To promote cultural awareness and understanding in the community.\n• To showcase and celebrate the diversity of cultures in our community.\n• To provide a platform for people from different backgrounds to come together and interact.\n• To foster respect for cultural differences and reduce discrimination. \nEvent Details: \nThe Multiculturalism Day event will be held in the RBC room at YMCA Taggart. The event will be free and open to the public\, but we will require participants to register in advance or upon arrival to help us better plan the event. Dabke started as a way of repairing roofs and soon turned into an entertainment form\, spreading to other countries in the Middle East.
