DESCRIPTION:Le CEPEO (Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario) invite les étudiants à participer à la création d’une murale qui démontre l’ouverture\, l’inclusion et la diversité de notre conseil scolaire. \nDurant le mois de mai\, les étudiants dresseront leur portrait de comment ils se perçoivent à leur école et par la suite créeront une œuvre d’art commune qui symbolise la phrase « Bienvenue chez vous » sous forme de murale à l’intérieur de l’école. Le personnel du CEPEO sera également invité à participer à cette activité dans les bureaux principaux du Conseil. Le projet sera documenté grâce à des vidéos et photos qui seront mises en ligne sur les réseaux sociaux.

SUMMARY:Festival autochtone du solstice d’été
DESCRIPTION:Le Festival autochtone du solstice d’été (FASÉ) contribue à ce que tous les Canadiens reconnaissent les contributions exceptionnelles que les Inuits\, Premières Nations et Métis ont apportées au Canada. \nSuite aux rétroactions des organisations nationales autochtones\, le Gouvernement du Canada a désigné le 21 juin la Journée nationale des peuples autochtones (JNPA) afin de célébrer les cultures et patrimoines des peuples autochtones. Cette date a été choisie car elle est proche de celle du solstice d’été\, le plus long jour de l’année. Pendant des générations\, de nombreuses communautés autochtones ont célébré leurs cultures et patrimoines à ce moment de l’année. \nDepuis plus de 20 ans\, les évènements de la JNPA dans la région de la Capitale nationale créent l’occasion pour tous les résidents de célébrer la culture et les contributions des Premières Nations\, Inuit et Métis. Le Festival autochtone du solstice d’été est un festival artistique multidisciplinaire pensé pour les familles qui attire plus de 40 000 visiteurs par année. \nLe FASÉ est un évènement annuel qui représente la diversité culturelle de notre communauté autochtone urbaine\, avec la pleine participation des artistes inuits\, métis et issus des Premières Nations. La diversité au sein de nos cultures est reflétée dans toutes les composantes de l’évènement\, du leadeurship à la sélection des artistes représentant chacune des communautés autochtones. Nous demeurons fidèles à la diversité chaque année en proposant des artistes et des leadeurs d’ateliers provenant des communautés inuites\, métisses et des Premières Nations.
