SUMMARY:Come Try Rowing
DESCRIPTION:This event is a two-hour\, inclusive introduction to the sport of rowing! Participants will spend the first hour inside on the rowing machines to get comfortable with the rowing stroke\, led by experienced rowers and coaches. Then\, we will head outside to practice rowing with a real oar in a real boat! Participants will not leave the side of the dock\, to ensure the safety and comfort of all new rowers.

SUMMARY:Everybody Rows Ottawa
DESCRIPTION:Everybody Rows Ottawa programming typically involves one or more two hour sessions at the Ottawa Rowing Club. Participants will attend the first hour with experienced instructors inside our boathouse. They will learn the basic rowing stroke on rowing machines and learn safety when rowing on the water. Their newly acquired skills will be put to the test with fun team workouts and games on the machines. In the second hour\, participants will get the chance to explore the rowing stroke on water\, at a level that is challenging yet enjoyable for them. After the on-water portion\, everyone will gather to offer their feedback about the session. Programming can also be adapted to the needs/preferences of certain groups. Some groups may not be comfortable going on the water\, so more time would be spent indoors playing games and exploring various functions of the rowing machine. \nLanguage: Bilingual
