DESCRIPTION:“Hands-On Skilled Trades Exploration Event” is an interactive and engaging employment event designed to expose job seekers to hands-on experiences in skilled trades and provide valuable employment resources. The event features six hands-on trade stations and one employment station\, each representing a different skilled trade or employment support service.\n\nInteractive Trade Stations\nParticipants will rotate through six engaging stations where they can explore skilled trades firsthand:\n• Station 1: Tiling\nParticipants will practice tile repair and tile installation techniques.\n• Station 2: Carpentry\nGuests will assemble small wooden frames and learn how to accurately use a tape measure.\n• Station 3: Plumbing\nParticipants will install bathroom fixtures and gain a basic understanding of plumbing tools.\n• Station 4: Painting\nLearn basic painting techniques and tips for a professional finish.\n• Station 5: Taping\nIntroduction to drywall taping and mudding\, including techniques for clean seams.\n• Station 6: Virtual Reality (VR) Experience – Energy Sector\nDiscover the dynamic work environments and job sites in the energy sector through cutting-edge virtual reality.
