The Anti-Racism Secretariat has planned a series of information sessions with community partners to engage Ottawa residents on the City’s first Anti-Racism Strategy. The strategy was approved by Council on June 22, 2022 and was formally launched with a release of the strategy’s public-facing document on May 15, 2023.

The purpose of the information session is to:

• Raise awareness on the Anti-Racism Strategy (ARS) and its Phase One priorities.
• Inform the community of the work underway to develop the strategic accountability framework for 2023-2025.
• Inform the community of plans to establish a community mechanism to continue working on ARS implementation.
• Answer any questions regarding the ARS and solicit feedback on process of ARS implementation.
• Build partnerships and collaborations with the community and community organizations for the implementation of the strategy.
